Working with David and Monica Stone at Greater Good Realty was an excellent experience!

I was a nervous first-time homebuyer and lived across the country when I started my house hunting and first contacted David. From the very beginning (i.e., before I had even moved), David responded promptly to  all of my many emails regarding the market and buying process, as my husband and I were looking to find a house and close within our first month in the city.

David made himself available to meet with us within two hours of our arrival in San Diego to look at every available listing from a long list we had sent him.

When those didn’t work, he was able to show us every listing we requested within a few hours of us contacting him. When we were ready to make an offer, he was able to successfully negotiate in a multi-offer situation so that our offer was accepted. Monica’s involvement increased when we went into escrow. She also was prompt with responding to questions and was a pleasure to work with. When we got our keys (only 25 days after our offer was accepted), we had a beautiful welcome gift waiting for us. All of this exceptional knowledge and service AND they donate part of their commissions to charity!

We just closed on a home (BirdRock) on 8/26/16 and I can unequivocally state that David Stone surpassed all our expectations. David’s experience, level-headedness, professionalism, and smarts assisted my wife and I thoughout the bid, negotiation, and closing. David Stone and his Greater Good Realty proved to be as good as it gets when seeking property in the San Diego area! I did months of research before I chose David to act as my real estate agent in buying property in San Diego. As an out of state buyer, integrity, responsiveness, and timely  communications were critical components I needed from my real estate agent. David proved a flawless choice.

Bottom line: I’ve used about a half dozen realtors in San Diego over the past 16 years, and I can honestly say that David and Monica are the best realty team I’ve had the pleasure to work with. My wife and I used Greater Good to rent our house out a few years ago, and that’s when we discovered  David and his team. Our impression from that initial meeting convinced us that David and Monica were what we were looking for in a realtor. Since then, we’ve used them two more times, including to sell our home, and don’t plan to use anyone else but them in the future. Words cannot begin to express what a positive experience I had with David, Monica and everyone else in the office whom interacted with me during my search and purchase of my condo Downtown! I know what it is like to work with a realtor who is not helpful and makes you do all the work. But David made the whole buying experience very positive and pleasant, explained things as we went along and gave me a sense that he was here to help me find my perfect fit of a home within my budget.

He referred me to a very helpful financial organization that is very experienced with VA loans. Even after the closing, he continued to show such genuine kindness and generosity by leaving a welcome basket on my kitchen counter (something that I thought only happens on TV shows!) and also sent me a personalized address stamp. If I’m ever in the market again, or if someone I know who is in the market, I will definitely refer them to Greater Good Realty!

My wife and I recently completed the purchase of a condo with the help of David Stone and Greater Good Realty and had an excellent experience. David was knowledgable about the local real estate market and more than able to answer our questions as well as provide a bit more information about each property than we would have been able to find during an online search. He was patient and we didn’t feel any pressure to rush into a decision with which we were not comfortable.

Once we found the home that we were interested in, it was a short sale and made doubly complicated by the multiple liens against the property, but David kept us sane throughout the process. He was patient with us as we waited through about six months of negotiation (all on the short sale side of the transaction) and as things came together he did a great job putting all of the final pieces in place to make sure that the closing happened successfully just before the holidays. We can’t recommend David highly enough, he and the Greater Good team really made the process of buying a home manageable and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Thank you!
