National City Lions Club Carnival
June 29–July 4
Enjoy a full weekend of Independence Day fun at the Lions Club Carnival, featuring rides, games, food, and fun! There will also be a fireworks show on July 4th at 9 pm. This is a free event.

Culture Crawfish Boil & Brews
Dine on the best Cajun-Creole eats with a craft beer pint of your choice. There will be 100 pounds of fresh Louisiana crawfish and plenty of craft brews to choose from. Space for this event is extremely limited, so get your tickets today!

Independence Day at the Border
Bring your family and friends for an early 4th of July celebration featuring family activities, live music, drinks, food, and fireworks at 8:45 pm. This is a free event.

San Diego County Fair 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day at the San Diego County Fair! There will be a special performance at 9:30 am and fireworks at 9 pm. Fireworks will be visible throughout the fairgrounds, so as long as you’re outside, there’s no better place to watch!

The Spirit of the Fourth
Experience The Spirit of the Fourth across Rancho Bernardo with events including the Wheels of Freedom Classic Motor Show, the Patriotic Pet Contest, the Veterans Memorial Service, a quilt exhibit, a parade, and fireworks at 9 pm! This is a free event.

Reptile Super Show
See over 100,000 ft² of reptiles, amphibians, supplies, educational workshops, and more. Reptile Super Show promotes conservation through education and captive breeding. This engaging event is fun for the whole family!

Sun & Sea Festival
Marvel at amazing sand sculptures created by world-class sandcastle artists. This year’s theme is Pirates in Paradise. Activities include the IB Pier Swim & Paddle, the 3K Beach Walk/Run, Sandcastle Ball, a community parade, live music, an international food fair, and much more! This is a free event.

San Diego Pride
Join in fostering pride in and respect for LGBT communities locally and globally at San Diego’s premiere pride event. The celebration includes a music festival, rally, block party, a 5K, and a parade!

Opening Day at Del Mar
Join more than 40,000 race fans for one of the most fabulous, fashionable, and fun festivities in the West! This day is about big bets, fast horses, and celebrating in style. Fashion-minded guests may participate in the Opening Day Hats Contest where entrants compete for cash prizes and are judged on creativity and style.

Marked Men VII: Pirate and Fantasy Party
Don your cosplay gear and come aboard the Star of India for a themed party featuring Game of Thrones and Pirates of the Caribbean! There will be a sword fight, fire dancing, live music, fortune telling, a costume contest, food, and drinks. 21+ only.

Avant Garde Costume Gala
Wear your wildest, most unique or thought-provoking costume to experience a wonderful evening of creative and sensory pleasures! The Gala will feature a fashion show, costume contest, immersive installations, performances, food, beverages, and more.

Insect and Ladybug Festival
Practice bug collecting, make insect arts and crafts, and even taste cooked mealworm larvae in various flavors. Bug experts will be available for questions, and informational booths will teach and entertain children and adults alike.

Play 4 SAY
Get in the game at this charity lawn games tournament! Compete with 60 teams in rounds of Bocce Ball, Cornhole, and Ladder Golf to advance to the Tumble Tower playoff. You can also enjoy food samples and beverages from local restaurants. Proceeds will benefit SAY (Social Advocates for Youth) programs in San Diego.

Join the Mike Hess Brewing Co. for their 7th anniversary celebration and charity fundraiser. There will be live music, souvenir glasses, food vendors, and unlimited beer samples. This year’s ‘FEST benefits Next Step Service Dogs and YMCA of San Diego County.
