Meet the team:

Hi. My name is Rima Rhodey, and I’m proud to be Greater Good Realty’s newest buyer agent.

In the past few years, I’ve spent a lot of time navigating the local real estate market. I’m used to helping people from all walks of life and am skilled at handling stressful situations. Although I’ve had experience working at small and large law firms, including the Attorney General’s office in Minnesota, I’m most comfortable dealing with people face-to-face.

As much as I’ve learned from my work, my experiences as a wife and mother have helped to inform my understanding of the real estate market more than anything. Over the years, my family has relocated to several different areas in the United States – we even spent some time living in Thailand a while back. Amid all of these transitions, I was the one responsible for finding a new, affordable home for my family. As you might expect, these experiences have made me very empathetic when it comes to working with people who are looking for a house of their own.

Remember, not every real estate professional is easy to work with. Some just want to get a deal done, while others don’t really listen to their clients. I’ve had plenty of experience working with good and bad agents and I know how important it is to have someone on your side when it comes time to buy a home.

Fundraising for the YMCA:

As you might know, Greater Good Realty makes a habit of giving back to the community. Every year, we donate 10% of our commissions to charitable and nonprofit organizations throughout San Diego. Recently, we had the pleasure of participating in the Border View Family YMCA’s “The Y. So Much More” campaign.

This YMCA fundraising campaign was initially brought to our attention by our buyer agent Alonso Gonzalez, who is an active participant at the YMCA of San Diego. He suggested that we look into the program, which, of course, we were more than happy to do. As part of the Border View Family YMCA’s “So Much More” campaign, the YMCA is seeking to raise a total of $101,500 between February 4 and March 5. The goal is to raise enough money to help subsidize the YMCA’s membership and program rates for those who cannot afford to participate. For every dollar donated, 94 cents goes directly towards fulfilling the YMCA’s fundraising goal.

For over 150 years, the YMCA has committed itself to strengthening neighborhoods, communities, and individuals. In San Diego, they’ve come a long way towards realizing their mission of “improving the quality of human life” and “helping people realize their fullest potential.” With goals like that, we’re more than happy to help.
