Substantial Progress Continues on Downtown San Diego’s Railroad Quiet Zone…
Construction is continuing at a nice pace with various railroad crossing intersections being worked on simultaneously.
On Sunday, July 10th a locomotive is scheduled to make 15 runs back and forth from Park Blvd to Laurel Street beginning at 6am until about 1pm. There will be various engineers and personnel reviewing if the new crossing gate equipment will operate correctly at each intersection.
So, expect some traffice delays and lots of crossing bells going off for about 7 hours or so. If all goes well, this would be the first milestone to getting approval from the various agencies involved in this long and tiring process.
