- Artist Rendering for Horton Plaza
There is going to be another public forum to hear a presentation from one of the architects working on the proposed redesigning of Horton Plaza.
The presentation as well as public feedback forum will be on June 21st from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 97 Horton Plaza, San Diego, CA 92121. This is located at the former Robinsons-May building, above the Sam Goody near Broadway and Fourth Ave.
Good News For This Area of Downtown San Diego
This current area of Horton Plaza has the potential to be a valuable addition to the transformations that have been occurring over the years. Currently, it is a run down parcel that seems to attract quite a bit of unwanted activities.
Part of the design concept involves knocking down the current San Goody building and creating an open park space which will have outdoor events throughout the year including concerts, farmer’s markets, street vendors, etc. In addition, the beautiful fountain will be renovated so that it can become an iconic feature in downtown again.
